Banksy

In English class I had the pleasure of seeing one of Banksy's most iconic pictures. This picutre showed a man about to throw a banquet of flowers instead of a grendade or other projectile. I think that this picture has a lot of symbolism in it, such as the man being colored balck and white while the flowers were bright and colorful. This might represent that people should try to spread peace instead of war and violence. Remember that thats my interpretation of it and that there are many others.

Sorry I'm Late

I think that this video is really cool. It must have taken a huge amount of time to film because it is a stop motion video. I believe that it is possible for me to make one, but it would take me forever and I would soon become impatiencent. That is probably the main reason why I wouldn't want to make something like it. I also noticed that it looks like it took many people to pull this video off and it would be hard for me to find anybody willing to do it.

Mask Designs

Designing and painting my mask was a real pain in the butt. First, I had to think of the design which took forever. The next thing I did was paint my mask entirely blue ,but the problem with that is it looked really bad because the paint smeared. Later after thinking of what I could do, I decided to paint my mask over again with white paint. The next thing I did was try to paint it green because I had the idea to make it look like the Brazilian flag. Another problem ocurred when the geen paint couldn't stick to my mask because the white paint I used at school contained latex. The next thing I did was go to the store to buy gesso which helped make my mask paintable again. Lastly, I began painting again and was able to finish my mask. I am VERY happy that it turned out ok.

Making the Mask

In English class, I had to make plaster mask for my project. Making my mask involved a lot of work but it was still fun. The first thing I had to do was rub ultrasound jelly all over my face to keep the plaster from sticking and ripping it off. Next, I had my friend Michael put wet plaster strips all over my face. He put about three layers of the plaster strips on and also coverd my eyes and mouth. While he put the plaster strips on, all I could was listen to all the people around me talk. I think that if I was claustrophobic I would probably freak out. All and all, making the mask was a fun experience that I won't forget.

Sing Sang Sung

I thought that this video was pretty weird. To me, the people who made the video were on acid or some other type of hallucinogenicThe video was very creative which is ok but i'd rather watch something more realistic. The music seemed to go well with the cartoon because it was also weird. Other than that, the video is worth watching and if your into art you will probably like it.

Coca Cola

This piece of art is amazing!! I think it's beautiful because its so realistic. Drawing this must of taken him forever which is another why I appreciate it. Other than that its just a really cool picture of a coke bottle. Enjoy!
